Terms without * require an exact match: albumin will not retrieve lactalbumin or albumins
Use * to find words containing a fragment. For example, on June 1, 1998:
      albumin finds 12 files, whereas
      albumin* finds 56 files, including lactalbumin, ovalbumin, parvalbumin, prealbumin.

Many alternative spellings give the same results, for example protease finds proteinase, and haemoglobin finds hemoglobin.

You may use or, not (CAse doesn't matter). For example,
      globin or globins finds more than either term alone (but globin* finds many more).
      human or egg albumin finds both human and egg albumins.
      milk not lactalbumin finds fewer files than does milk alone.
      myoglobin* not myoglobin finds apomyoglobin, metmyoglobin, and sulfmyoglobin.
